Free Flow is the official training facility of Sac Parkour and the Simian Knights Sacramento PK group, an affiliate of SFPK (San Francisco Parkour group). Corey Romines and Victor Lo Forte, Sacramento area's SFPK representatives, are the head trainers of our Parkour progarm.

What is Parkour? Parkour (sometimes abbreviated PK) is a method of flowing movement focused on moving and flowing around obstacles with speed and efficiency. Originally developed in France, the main purpose of the discipline is to teach participants how to flow through their environment by vaulting, rolling, running, climbing and jumping. Two primary characteristics of parkour are efficiency and speed. Parkour can be practiced anywhere, but areas dense with obstacles offer many different training opportunities.

What is a Traceur? Traceurs (parkour practitioners) train to be able to identify and utilize alternate or the more efficient paths. Traceurs take the most direct path through an obstacle as rapidly as that route can be traversed safely. Traceurs say that parkour also influences one's thought processes by enhancing self-confidence and critical-thinking skills that allow one to overcome everyday physical and mental obstacles.

CAUTION! - Parkour is a way to master your environment instead of having to succumb to your surroundings. Being able to scale walls, jump higher and farther, and gaining speed and mobility are constant side effects. In Parkour it is hard to not gain flexibility, mental strength, as well as get physically stronger and endurance. Beware, because when challenging yourself in this discipline it will help you to become more confident about yourself and your abilities. We will not only be teaching you new skills or help you get stronger, but we will help you to be able to teach yourself and others too. We as a FreeFlow team want you to thrive in your environment and life! To do so we will have to do the unthinkable!
